How hosting rates work

Your prepaid session quote combines planned table time and player capacity. Runtime is charged when the session goes live; optional tools are charged only when used. These are platform fees — not table stakes.

Multi-table pricing is not linear

More tables cost more, but not one-for-one. 20 parallel tables (6 seats, 3 hours) run about ~$142 — not ~$300, which is what you’d pay if we assumed every table stayed full the entire session.

Quotes assume normal busy periods during the planned play time — not every table packed for the whole session. When you create an event, the live estimate spells out any multi-table adjustment.

Common questions

Why doesn’t a big event cost “number of players × one home game”?

Your upfront quote assumes a normal level of activity — not every table packed for the entire session. Example: 1 table · 6 seats · 3 hours is about ~$15; 20 parallel tables for the same window is about ~$142, not ~$300 if every table stayed full the whole time. Large tournaments follow the same idea — capacity is quoted for realistic use, not “every table full from start to finish.”

Important

Is this real-money gambling?

No. HomeGame24 is a hosting platform for social home games among friends. You pay for server and engine time — like cloud hosting for your game night. Chips at the table are play money only: no cash value, no withdrawals, and no wagering.

Do I need a subscription?

No. Register for free, get welcome hosting credits, and top up from Billing whenever you need more runway. Every account has the same fair resource limits.

How am I charged?

Session runtime is quoted upfront from the planned play time and player capacity, then charged when the session goes live. Optional features — AI review and suspicion detection — are charged per use. Everything deducts from your prepaid hosting balance — never from chips at the table.

What about tournaments?

You see the maximum prepaid runtime charge before scheduling. Nothing is charged until the tournament goes live. Eligible unused runtime is credited back to your hosting balance when it ends early, while a longer tournament is not charged above its runtime quote.

What happens when I hit a fair-usage limit?

The panel blocks creating more of that resource until you remove items. Existing games and players keep working.
